Hello Streeters,
Losing someone close to you is never easy, especially a parent and it is with a very heavy heart I am sad to report that we have unfortunately lost another member of the Streeters family and this one is a major blow....
Just after midnight early this morning, James Salzburg, the father of Streeter Guy and co-founder Joe Salzburg and co-founder of the Northern Illinois Streeters, was called home this morning after a tough battle with being ill for a while.
To know Jim, as I (Streeter Freddy) and many others were fortunate to, was to be truly blessed. Quiet, yet very humble and giving, he was a constant presence at many Streeters events, car shows and cruise nights, whether it was in his 1968 Chevy Camaro or 2008 Saturn Sky.
Known for his gentle demeanor and being a friend to many, I was very fortunate to have the opportunity 10 years ago to know him and grow close to the Salzburg family, as well as many in the club. He was also a very well known Bears and White Sox fan and while sometimes we clashed when it came to the Cubs and White Sox, it was all in good fun. I will personally miss that and a lot of things about him.
His loss is very hard and I ask that you please join me in keeping the Salzburg family in our thoughts and prayers.
There are no details on when or if a service will take place, but we will let you know the details if and when they are available. In the meantime, again please keep Joe, Jo, Kevin and Mary Jo in your prayers and feel free to reach out via email or by phone. I know Joe would appreciate it. Thank you all very much and God bless you all.
Freddie & Rick have done a NEW Streeter's Facebook page for all to see with Streeters info and photos. Please check it out and put your information and photos on there also. (It's a family friendly page)
GET YOUR NAME TAGS! Margaret Cole gave us order forms. Let Margaret or Carole know and we will email you an order form.

The Raybestos Mustang!- 2016 PowerNation Week #31
This week Katie features the 1969 Raybestos Mustang, built by Jeff Schwartz of Schwartz Performance. As you know, we’ve used a few of his custom built chassis and this pony car is no different. It has a Schwartz Performance G-Machine Chassis which is plenty strong to handle the 480 horsepower the Coyote engine is putting out! It has a Silver Sport 6 speed tranny and to bring all that power to a stop, Raybestos brakes. The R300 rotors are the ultimate upgrade along with the Element3 EHT brake pads which offer the attributes of both ceramic and semi-mettalic materials in a single hybrid compound. Perfect for a car that can hit the Autocross circuit as well as the street. Also this week Katie interviews NHRA legend and 16 time Funny Car champion John Force. Lot’s for you this week on PowerNation. For more go to www.RaybestosBrakes.com
